Speed camera on Parkside Drive — one of Toronto’s most dangerous streets — reinstalled for the fourth time

The speed camera serving one of Toronto’s most dangerous streets was removed four times within five months.

Since its installation four years ago, the speed camera has become the highest-grossing automated enforcement device in Toronto, issuing more than 65,000 tickets worth $7 million, according to local residents’ advocacy group Safe Parkside.


Its predecessors have been cut down, dragged through High Park, thrown into the pond and frozen in ice. But the speed camera on — one of Toronto’s most dangerous streets — has been reinstalled for the fourth time.
