If you’re planning to get outside this Victoria Day long weekend, you might want to keep an eye out for thunderstorms.Â
pc28¹ÙÍøis expected to see summer-like heat on Friday, then a cooler Saturday with rain before it clears up for Sunday and Monday.Â
Here’s what you need to know about the long weekend forecast.
Environment Canada forecast for Toronto
Torontonians can expect a warm and wet end to the week, with showers endings early on Friday morning and then clearing, plus the risk of a morning thunderstorm. Friday will see temperatures peak to 27 C with a UV index of 8, which is very high, according to the agency.

Skies will clear on Friday night, but clouds and showers will roll in after midnight, bringing a chance of a thunderstorm. The city is forecasted to see 15 mm of rain with a nighttime low of 13 C.
Heading into the weekend, Saturday is also bringing a possible morning thunderstorm, with showers and winds gusting to 50 km/h in the forecast. Saturday will see a daytime high of 20 C, dipping to a cloudy 11 C with a chance of showers at night.
Rays will peek through on Sunday with sunny skies and a high of 17 C, with clear skies and a low of 7 C at night.
Good news for Victoria Day fireworks: Monday is expected to be sunny with a high of 16 C, with clear skies and a low of 5 C at night.
