  • The weekend sessions held by the Next Surgeon program took place at the Temerty Advanced Surgical Education and Simulation Centre at UHN’s Michener Institute of Education. A March 30 article about the program that connects young people from marginalized communities with medical professionals to help them explore the field, incorrectly said the sessions took place at U of T’s Temerty Faculty of Medicine.
  • The death of George Floyd, a 46-year-old Black man killed by a police officer in Minneapolis, Minnesota in 2020, sparked massive racial justice protests in the U.S and around the world. A March 30 article about the importance of DEI initiatives in Canadian health care, gave the wrong state in which the murder happened.
