Studies suggest overreliance on artificial intelligence could atrophy our critical thinking skills — a finding that has experts concerned about students who increasingly rely on AI in their schoolwork.


Advocates of generative artificial intelligence have asserted the rapidly developing technology has the potential to supercharge our productivity and improve our lives.

Indeed, in labour productivity improvements, saving workers 125 hours every year, according to a 2024 study from Microsoft and Accenture.
