Seven people — including a car dealership employee — have been arrested and two more are wanted in connection to fraudulent vehicle transactions.
that a sales associate at a Mississauga dealership used his position in connection with the fraudulent sales of 10 vehicles, worth almost $375,000, earlier this year.
Between Jan. 30 and Feb. 27, investigators believe the phony transactions were co-ordinated, allowing the other suspects to obtain a variety of cars and SUVs.

The 10 vehicles were illegally purchased with the intent of having them shipped out of the country, but were all recovered in Ontario, according to police.
On April 29, officers charged a 42-year-old man from Oakville with fraud over $5,000, use of forged documents and possession of property obtained by crime.
Following his arrest and during the investigation, police identified and charged six others with fraud over $5,000. They are a 24-year-old woman from Richmond Hill, a 25-year-old woman from Scarborough, a 40-year-old man from Toronto, a 34-year-old man from Oshawa, a 30-year-old man from Brampton and a 25-year-old woman from Brampton.Â
Those who were arrested were released on undertakings and are scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton.
Police said the investigation is ongoing and police are “actively” searching for two men aged 34 and 22, who are wanted for fraud over $5,000 and uttering forged documents.Â
