Father and son, 11, dead after driver collides with their motorcycle in Scarborough
The father, 47, died at the scene of the accident on Thursday evening. His son, the motorcycle passenger, was rushed to hospital but died shortly after, investigators said.
A father and his 11-year-old son have died after the driver of a vehicle struck their motorcycle in Scarborough Thursday evening.Â
A silver Nissan was turning left from  onto Kingston Road when it collided with a red Honda motorcycle, just after 6:20 p.m., pc28¹ÙÍøpolice told the Star.Â
The driver of the motorcycle, the 47-year-old father, was pronounced dead at the scene. His son, who was riding as the motorcycle passenger, was rushed to hospital and succumbed to his injuries shortly after, investigators said.Â

The driver of the Nissan, a 68-year-old man, remained at the crash scene and is fully co-operating with the investigation, according to officers.Â
“We’re looking at everything,” Duty Insp. Brian Maslowski told reporters at the scene, adding investigators have spoken to witnesses and are now looking at video evidence from the area. “Nothing is off the table.”
Police remained at the scene Thursday night and said there will be significant traffic delays in the area.Â
Kingston Road was closed between Beechgrove Drive and Orchard Park Drive. Manse Road was also shut down between Kingston Road and Chelmer Gate.
