Toronto’s BMO Field is getting a $146M upgrade for the FIFA World Cup. Here’s what it will look like

A 1,000-person rooftop patio, four video boards and upgraded concessions are among the renovations.

BMO Field will see a $146-million facelift for the FIFA World Cup, including 17,000 temporary seats and four new video boards.


A little more than a year from now, one of the world’s largest sporting events will arrive in pc28— and a nearly $150-million facelift for BMO Field is on its way, too.

The city of pc28and Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment (MLSE) will add roughly 17,000 temporary seats and permanently install four new video boards, among other upgrades to be completed by next March, three months before the FIFA World Cup comes to pc28in June 2026.
