This beloved pc28restaurant has served Polish comfort food for over 40 years. Meet the family keeping its legacy alive

Café Polonez is one of the last Polish spots in Roncesvalles, a neighbourhood once buzzing with Eastern European bars, stores, and eateries.

For more than 40 years, Café Polonez has been a pillar of Roncesvalles Avenue, serving up hearty Polish comfort food to a mix of locals, newcomers and returning regulars like Lauryn Bodde.

When Bodde travels with her mother and aunt from Windsor to pc28for “a girls trip,” one stop is non-negotiable: Café Polonez. Since 2017, they’ve popped in to grab a bite three times a year.
